Left the villa this am after a week....great place but we have seen all there is to see in this region so....we are ready to move on.
Joe and Yvonne are happy because after a week of baths...no shower..enough is enough!! Although, the shower we had in our apartment was barely big enough to move......I had to open the doors to lower my arms in order to wash the lower half of my body.
The drive was scenic with those rolling Italian hillsides. So picturesque that a photograph would not do it justice so we did't even try.
Our hotel here is again modest.....nice and clean, but fairly basic. However it is in the heart of the best part of the city. We are taking the train to Cinque Terre...the 5 cities along the coast, to do some climbing and sightseeing. They have had a bit of rain here and we have been told they have closed some of the paths along the way as a result....they have been washed out and they are treacherous at the best of times. We'll see tomorrow I guess.
